Writing for Publication: Writing Workshop SUSI Scholars Follow-On, 2024

Writing Workshop (WW) offers scholars the opportunity to review a piece of writing that is in development, which would benefit from a nuanced examination. This strand’s structure provides participants four asynchronous prompts, each followed by a synchronous meeting with your assigned writing group members to offer time to workshop your selected pieces. Topics will include writing as a storytelling process; tools for analyzing data and making it accessible to readers; increasing readership; and the process of proposing an edited volume or special issue. Strand 2 is recommended for scholars who have a significant publication record and are looking of ways to fine-tune their writing.
